Today’s blog hop with the Latte Girls is all about Square cards – 3″ x 3″; 4″ x 4″ or 5″ x 5″ cards. I decided to go with some 4″ x 4″ Birthday Gift Cards:
Aren’t they just sweet? So easy to make as well and I just loved the Candle Border Punch.
These two have the Crushed Curry candle paper from the Party Animal Designer Series Paper and Emerald Envy on the front. I made them look slightly different in the way I tied the Whisper White Thick Baker’s Twine. Do you like the fringed end on the one on the left?
So these two are Crushed Curry card over the Emerald Envy party type streamer paper also from the Party Animal DSP pack. Again I’ve tied the Whisper White Baker’s Twine differently on each card. You can get the tassel look with your Baker’s Twine by dragging your Paper Piercing Toll down the length of the twine and separating the fibres. Easy!! Quite Effective.
Each solid card front is layered up on the DSP with Foam Adhesive Strips – just love them for giving a bit of definition and adding a bit of pizzazz to a card.
You can never have too many Birthday Gift cards and these were very quick and easy to put together.
- Card base of Whisper White 8″ x 4″ or 20cm x 10cm
- Designer Series Paper (D.S.P.) 3″ x 3″ or 7.5cm x 7.5cm
- Solid card front (punched with border punch) 2 1/5″ x 2 1/5″ or 6.3cm x 6.3cm
- Solid Baker’s Twine approx 10″ or 25.5cm
So, quick and easy little gift cards which are blank inside, ready for your next party invitation to arrive.
These would be great, especially if you have school aged children who are always being asked to parties. Not expensive to make and if you make a ton of them in one sitting and store them in the gorgeous Sale-A-Bration Tin, you are set for the year.
