Well, today was huge as we celebrated Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea at my place with a class and a retired stock sale.
A BIG Thank You to:
- Christine Edwards – Your Body Shop At Home Consultant for her wonderful donation of 2 great products, worth about $40 towards the door prizes
- Glenda Von Wooten for her donation and making of the morning tea and lunch
- Bob Dyson for all his help during the week and today
My huge thanks to Bob, my husband, for all his help leading up to today and for setting up and packing up. He also put flyers up around the district and did a letterbox drop as well as mounting signs out the front on the lawn.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea
A big thank you also to Glenda, front left, who supplied and made morning tea and lunch. Yummy mini cupcakes with passion fruit icing or chocolate ones with chocolate icing and a piece of ginger. Also some really yummy cookies and mini pavlovas topped with fresh cream and strawberries. Glenda also donated her wonderful home made frittatas and mini sausage rolls accompanied by a fresh salad. Does it sound like we just ate all day? Pretty much.
Bob was the sales person and chief shop assistant for the retired stock sale. 10% of sales went straight to the Cancer Council. He also collected donations from locals and generally chated to people. Thanks to him we met some lovely new people in our neighbourhood, which was great as we haven’t lived in the area very long.
Cheeky bunch don’t you think? They all helped each other and got along famously during the day making cards and kits. Stamping and making mess but generally having a heap of fun were all high on the agenda today.
So, I had a goal of $400 as this is my first fundraiser in the Lake Macquarie Area. I’m just a bit short of that at $325 and would love to reach my goal before May 12. So, how about donating to the Cancer Council through my appeal. You can do it here. Every little bit helps and I would really appreciate your support for this worthwhile cause.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.
Remember, your creativeness is only limited by your imagination. Keep smiling and until next we share…
