Now we’re into December the Monday FREE tutorial download will move into Christmas mode. Today’s card is Bethlehem Skyline. It’s a bit different to my usual cards but I’m sure you’ll enjoy having a try at making one.
This card uses Stampin’ Sponges to add colour. You can use 1 sponge and cut it into four so you have one wedge for each colour. This is a really fun technique, so take your time. Remember to add small light amounts of colour. It’s easy to add colour but once added it’s hard to take it off or disguise it. So a light hand is best; you also need to allow the colours to dry before adding a new colour. You can use your Heat Tool on setting 1 to speed the drying up.
This same technique could be used with many other sets. However the Bethlehem Edgelits are just wonderful with this technique.
Now, you all know I like to decorate the inside of my cards and the envelope. That’s why I have included the stamp set in the list of supplies needed. Choose one of the images and perhaps one of the gorgeous sentiments from the set to stamp inside the card and use an image for the outside of the envelope. You could use the single star or cluster of stars and Crushed Curry or even Soft Sky or Pool Party.
These samples from Stampin’ Up! also feature some shading. Now this Bundle, stamp set and edgelits, are carrying over but not at the 10% discount as they are now if you buy the bundle. So, if you like the set, buy it now as a bundle.
