Finally mailed my Christmas cards out yesterday only to discover I didn’t have enough. So I knew I had a heap of the Delicate Ornaments cut out thanks to the Big Shot and the Precision Base Plate, so I set to work and made another dozen cards. These cards all use the same background Designer Series Paper as a layer on the card base of Whisper White. They differ with the Delicate Ornaments and sentiments. Some Delicate Ornaments are adhered… Read more »

These little Christmas Lights are filled with Chocolate Hershey’s Kisses. I found the idea on Pinterest and a tutorial on Cindee Wilkinson’s blog. They’re super easy to make with the Curvy Keepsake die. You cut 2 of the long side of the die and the base and snip off any excess . You score 1″ below the score line on the base and burnish. Adhere the 2 bases together. Cut a strip of Basic Gray and adhere close to the… Read more »

In August I was lucky enough to visit the lovely Ann Craig in Canberra. Whilst there she taught me how to make one of these gorgeous angels using the Gift Bo Bigz Die and the Big Shot.  I’ve made a Christmas one this time and made this one with the ladies in my Christmas Decoration class. You can make the eyes by punching out a 1/2″ circle from some scrap card and using it to trace little semi-circles about 1/3… Read more »

Here are two cards made with the same products, just put together a bit differently. Which do you prefer? I love this Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper, it’s just so elegant and co-ordinates with any colour. I’ve teamed the Designer Series Paper with Mint Macaron, Black and Very Vanilla. I’ve added Mint Macaron behind the tag of Very Vanilla and both these are cut with the Deco Labels Framelit Dies using the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform. Timeless Elegance has… Read more »

This is the last of my Scrapbook Pages for a while. This is a traditional 12″ x 12″ page, however is mixed in with some project Life pages of my daughter’s trip to the USA with the State Schools Symphonic Wind Ensemble. This photo was taken at Sea World I wanted to highlight some of the colours in the photo. In the plant at the back of the photo is a beautiful pink flower, hence the use of Melon Mambo…. Read more »

This is the last of the cards from my October Card Class where the ladies concentrated on a technique. We used the Aqua Painters for all of the cards – 2 each of 3 designs. This one is just an alternate on one of the other cards they made. The image on this card was stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black and then the Aqua Painters did the work with reinkers. This time we turned the image so it was facing… Read more »

Alright we don’t have snow here in Australia at Christmas time. It’s usually horrendously hot and humid and sometimes we get awful summer storms. However, I want you to shut your eyes (after reading this of course) and imagine this: “Lots of twinkling stars and the night sky is dark blue and the moonlight shows Santa in his sleigh riding through the night sky.” It’s possible, isn’t it? OK I’m just a big kid at heart or ‘kidult’ as my… Read more »

My Grandson absolutely loves Thomas The Tank Engine and all his fellow engines and characters in the show. He particularly loves the music and happily sings along and dances. It’s a joy to see and be a part of. His birthday was in June and I managed to get him a card with Thomas The Tank Engine on the front and I think that card has been carted all around the house ever since. This got me to thinking about… Read more »

I just love everything about our Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalogue this year. There are so many wonderful products we can use for Christmas and it’s definitely time to start preparing as it will be here before we know it. This is another of the cards the ladies made in my Christmas Card Class recently using the Embellished Ornaments Bundle, Work of Art and Sassy Salutations.  They made 2 of these cards and there were differences in all the cards which… Read more »

This is one of the four cards we made in my recent Christmas Card Class. The ladies made 2 each of 4 designs so went home with 8 completed cards. Some had a few bits to finish as it was a full on 2 hour class with no down time. The ladies did enjoy it. Reason For The Season is a Photopolymer Stamp set which has many different stamps and one is like the veins of a leaf. We inked… Read more »
