Baby cards should be cute, right? Well I think this one is very cute. It’s made with the Something For Baby Bundle which includes the stamp set and the framelits. I also used the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to punch flowers out of one of the colours as embellishments on the card and added some little Pearls to the centres before adhering them with Dimensionals. I used some scrap of the accent card stock to make a little banner… Read more »

Who doesn’t like little ducks for a baby card? I have 2 to share with you today, one in Very Vanilla and Watermelon Wonder and one in Very Vanilla and Bermuda Bay. I used the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing folder on both cards and stamped the duck in the co-ordination colour. It’s from Something For Baby stamp set. I used Baby’s First Framelits to cut all the duck out. I just love framelits which are designed to cut out around stamps…. Read more »

Do you sometimes wonder how you can make something look a little different by not doing much? Well I took out my 42-year-old Elna sewing machine (it’s a little portable one) and did some stitching onto card. The secret is to stitch before you add adhesive so you don’t ‘gum up the works’ in your sewing machine. This is what I came up with: I used Whisper White on Tip Top Taupe and added some of our Burlap ribbon cut… Read more »

Do you love butterflies? I do and I think they give almost any project a real lift. So, I have used the Bold Butterfly Framelits in today’s projects. I’ve combined this card with some left over pieces of Bohemian Designer Series Paper, an old favourite stamp set Papillon Potpourri and a new stamp set Garden In Bloom which is a Photopolymer set. I used Papillon Potpourri butterflies to stamp the inside of the card and the outside of the envelope… Read more »

Do you need to make some quick cards for children? In this case these cards were made for boys using the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set. My Card Class ladies made 2 each of these cards, using the same stamp set but different images. Here I’ve used the Aqua Painter to give the darker underside of the parachute more colour. This would make a great card for a boy. I’ve continued the lego theme by stamping the inside of… Read more »

Male cards can be difficult to make so I came up with this idea for my Triple Treat Class last Friday. I’ve used the Circle Thinlit Die and cut the card to 14cm (5.5″0 and scored at 6.4cm (2.5″) which gives a little hidden flap for writing your message to the recipient. I’ve used a bit of Multipurpose Glue to glue the Linen Thread to the back of the card so when it is untied, it doesn’t fall off. When… Read more »

I just love Sheltering Tree and have again just used the tree canopy to create this card. Very similar to Tuesday’s card, however not so heavy-handed with the tree canopy. So this card uses just the Blushing Bride around the edges with the tree canopy stamp from Sheltering Tree. I’ve used Blushing Bride and Rose Red card as well as Whispering White. I like to use Whispering White card inside my cards and use one of the images from one… Read more »

When the Occasions Catalogue was launched I shared many a project using Sheltering Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I haven’t used it for a while however, used it in a bit of a different way for this card. The colours are Rose Red and Blushing Bride. I’ve used just the tree canopy and stamped around the edge of the Whisper White. You get a great effect by inking up in Rose Red, stamping and then stamping off a couple of times…. Read more »
