I’m featuring today another card we made at the Latte Girls Team Meeting recently. This card was designed by Leonie Schroder and is a CASE from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure. Now we changed the colour scheme a bit and ended up with this wonderful subtle toned card which I chose to make into a birthday card using one of the sentiments from the stamp set. The stamp set if FREE when you spend A$90 (before shipping) from either the Annual or… Read more »

This week the Latte Girls are looking at flowers. I just love flowers, well all the ones which don’t make me sneeze or itch. Some are just glorious from afar and all make me smile and smiling is good for the soul and it confuses other people. Anyway enough of that and onto today’s projects: I just love the Detailed Floral Thinlit Dies which I combined with stamps from the photopolymer stamp set Mixed Borders to make my projects today…. This week’s Freebie Friday is a card which is designed for a Celebration such as a Birthday but could be used for any celebration including Christmas and New Year. When I give you these tutorials I’m hoping you’re thinking ‘outside the box’ with which occasions they may be suitable for, not just the occasion I present. Whisper White Card Stock: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”; 4” x 5 1/4” Elegant Eggplant Card Stock: 2” x 2” Silver Foil: 3” x 3”… Read more »

I seem to have this lyric singing in my head “… birthday’s on our minds….” I need to work out where it came from. This week the Latte Girls have Birthday’s on their minds and are sharing Birthday inspiration with you today. I’ve used the Confetti Celebration stamp set today to make this sort of masculine card but really I think anyone would be happy to receive it. It’s a bit hard to see in the photo but I have… Read more »

I saw a similar card to this on Pinterest and thought I’d give it an updated look. I’ve used the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder. Now what’s Dynamic about it? It’s quite a thick folder so you use it with just the Big Shot Platform and 1 Cutting Pad. Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders take embossing to the next level, with deeper, more detailed impressions than standard embossing folders—great for card fronts and accents. It measures 6″ x 6″… Read more »

Today’s Tip Thursday is a technique called Rock ‘n’ Roll. I’ve already shared a couple of cards using this technique and today there is another. I love this colour combination of Blushing Bride and Sweet Sugarplum. Anyway watch the video and have a play yourself. It seems to take a bit of a wrist action but once perfected is an easy way to make a WOW card. Here’s the inside of the card, which isn’t great as I slipped doing… Read more »

Card 1 – Happy Birthday Today’s Tip Thursday is a very quick and easy one. I’m just going to show you how to make these cute little daisies which I have used on my cards. I’ve used 2 sheets of 6″ x 6″ Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack to make 3 cards. I have 2 birthday cards and 1 thank you card. I’ve used the Rose Wonder Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Rose Garden Thinlit Dies which no longer… Read more »

Welcome to another Freshly Brewed Blog Hop with the Latte Girls and we’re featuring Shaker Cards this week. Make sure you stop on by to see the inspiration Leonie and Narelle have for you too. Shaker cards are so easy to make and are a bit like a party in a card. Hence today’s card is a Birthday Card using the Confetti Celebration stamp set. I also used the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Now when die cutting with… Read more »

Today’s post is brought to you by Rock ‘n’ Roll. No, you don’t have to head back to the 50’s and 60’s for this card. It’s a technique called Rock ‘n’ Roll. Cool isn’t it? I inked up the stamp with Marina Mist and then rolled the edges of the stamp in Dapper Denim. It took a little practise but I think you’ll agree the outcome is great.  I added the Dapper Denim Ruched Ribbon and some sequins from… Read more »
