I made the Curvy Keepsake Bunnies for last Wednesday’s Freshly Brewed Blog Hop and had pieces of Designer Series Paper left over. Not wanting to throw it out, I cut it inot strips and used it for this Thank You card. So, today is another Try It Tuesday. You can sign up for a free card kit by mail in the side bar. I’ll send you all the supplies to make the card except the adhesive. You need to reside… Read more »

My apologies for this late posting. My scheduling went awry while I was away without internet and little telephone coverage. Nice to be back in civilization though. Welcome to another Freebie Friday. Have you ever made something you weren’t quite sure about? Well this card is one of those. However, the ladies at my March Technique Class really liked it, so it’s featuring today for Freebie Friday. Does it look like stormy seas? You can play with the colour until… Read more »

OK so my weird sense of humour kicked in and I decided to show you the backs of the project first. The little tails are made with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and the Mini Silver brads. Easter celebrates the promise of life in the face of death. Easter celebrations also reflect on peace and forgiveness which has come out of aggression. It is also a time for thinking about suffering, injustice and hardship. In the Northern Hemisphere it’s Spring… Read more »

I said I’d do a video tutorial for Barbara who contacted me via email recently. This is the Emboss Resist Watercolour Technique, which is just  so easy and makes your card look wonderful. Who would you like to say thank you to? The cards featured in today’s post were mailed out to customers yesterday and each card had a small gift inside as well. So today I have a video tutorial for you and I will put all the… Read more »

Hello and welcome to another Freebie Friday. I hope this post finds you well and ready to create a card or another project using this as inspiration. I’ve used a couple of new products from the Occasions Catalogue and one retired product from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure (however, if you’re quick with a $90 order you may still be able to get it free with your order). Cut a piece of A4 Basic Black card in half so you have your… Read more »

This week’s Freshly Brewed Projects are themed around Travel. So what better stamp set to use than Going Global and of course the World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the Occasions Catalogue. Here is my first card This card features Lost Lagoon with the World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I’ve used strips of the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper on Delightful Dijon on the next layer. I used an Aqua Painter and Lost Lagoon ink to give a… Read more »

Here’s another sample from January’s Technique Class. This card uses the Emboss Resist Technique with added water and colour. I just love this stamp set and the Rose Garden Thinlits which go with it. This is such a beautiful technique and is so easy when you use the Shimmery White Card. I’ve also used Versamark and White Emboss Powder. The sentiment and the image for inside the card and the outside of the envelope both come from the Rose Wonder Photopolymer… Read more »

I started monthly technique classes and this was one of the samples I made using the Emboss Resist and Watercolour Technique. The ladies loved the class and the technique. What do you think of the card? I simply love this bundle – the Rose Wonder Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Rose Garden Thinit Dies. It’s very versatile and has some wonderful sentiments as well. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark on Basic Black and I used White Emboss Powder before… Read more »

Here’s another card I have made for the Global Design Project #023 | Theme Challenge. I was inspired by a card I saw on Carolyn Bennie’s blog where she did some Faux Embossing. I decided to do a similar thing using Balloons. I just wish I had a way of ensuring the photograph represented the colours better. I’ve used the Balloon Bouquet Punch to punch out some balloons in Soft Sky and then adhered them to the Soft Sky layer of… Read more »

Another week gone as February seems to be whooshing by. I hope this post finds you well and in the mood to create. I decided to use the Number of Years Photopolymer Bundle today which comes with the Number of Years Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Large Numbers Framelits Dies, which are fantastic for this type of card. I made 2 similar cards while I was at it. When I have my Big Shot out I like to cut a… Read more »
