This week the Latte Girls are inspiring you with Pocket Cards. Now I could have used the Pretty Pocket Card Kit which is FREE from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure when you spend $90. I decided not to use them but bring you the video about them instead. Aren’t they just the cutest cards out and you can’t get better than FREE!! So as I’m not showing you those, I decided I’d better come up with another pretty pocket card using some… Read more »

Welcome back to my third in my series on the Lucky Elephant stamp set. The notion that elephants bring good luck has a long history. The elephant is a symbol of strength, power, stability and wisdom. Elephant statues are popular worldwide. It is common superstition that an elephant carving or picture should always face the door if you want to bring good luck into the house. There are different opinions as to if the elephant trunk should be up or down…. Read more »

This gorgeous pink elephant is easy to achieve with some Versamark and Watermelon Wonder Classic Stampin’ Ink Pad and a bit of Washi Tape. It’s easy to achieve, watch the video and see how. This elephant brings back some favourite childhood memories of going to the Zoo. Plus when I was in Asia I saw lots of elephants, however they weren’t as glamorous as this one. Here’s the card from the video. I think the Washi Tape just makes this… Read more »

Have you seen this gorgeous elephant in the Occasions Catalogue? This is Part 1 of my series on Lucky Elephant stamp set. This one is done with Stampin’ Write Markers and I have a Video to show you how I did it. Isn’t he just gorgeous? He reminds me of the Elephant rides we used to have at Taronga Zoo way back when I was a child. It’s an easy technique and I think you’ll agree it looks good…. Read more »

I am so excited to be apart of this International Blog Hop celebrating all things NEW in Sale-A-Bration. There’s a full list of participants at the end of this post. So, I decided to focus on products from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure with a few other products thrown in. Both my cards use the “So Very Much” stamp set, from the Sale-A-Bration brochure, which is available in clear and wood mount. This is a gorgeous stamp set with so many possibilities… Read more »

Today I have another technique using Watercolor Pencils and I hope you give it a try as you can achieve some really beautiful results. <> The pencil needs to be quite damp but not dripping wet. I ended up mounting these on the same colour as the pencil I used in the video and then adding Stampin’ Dimensionals to the coloured piece and adhered that to the front of my card. I’ve used the same image to stamp on the… Read more »

I just love this cheeky looking chick. She reminds me of myself when I get out of bed in the morning – bed hair or slept with my finger in the electric socket!! I did a video on this for my Watercolor Bundle Virtual Class – missed it? It’s not too late to join. Contact me for more details. Note Cards are so quick and easy to stamp on and make look great with just a few details and of… Read more »

Today I decided to participate in the WWYS Challenge #99 Sunshine Sayings challenge. It’s a great stamp set, which I have in clear mount. It has lots of sentiments and allows you to ‘play’ with the images to create different effects. There’s a pack of Sunshine Wishes Thinlit Dies which co-ordinates with the set and you can buy them as a bundle and save 10%. I had lots of fun creating this card and used a colour I don’t tend to use… Read more »

I must say when I first saw this set in the catalogue, I wasn’t overly fused about it and placed it way down my ‘shopping’ list.. It sort of looks like you’d need to be a bit artistic to use it or have a specific purpose. Well, how wrong was I? This is a gorgeous set with so many ways to alter and play with it. The card above is another of my Beautiful You cards with the ruffled… Read more »

“Silent gratitude isn’t much use to anyone” G.B. Stern Freshly Brewed with Thanks Freshly Brewed with Thanks is what the Latte Girls Team is looking at today. So let’s start out correctly and let me say ‘thank you’ for visiting my blog today and looking at my work. I’d also like to thank you for visiting the other blogs in the hop today. Saying thank you – it’s everyday etiquette and a simple courtesy that takes just a moment. It costs… Read more »
