This week the Latte Girls bring you Butterflies for the Freshly Brewed Blog Hop. I know the other girls have some really inspiring projects with you so make sure you check the other blogs out. My first project uses a set and punches which have been around for a while, but I love them and feel they should be in everyone’s collection whether you’re a stamper, scrapbooker of paper artist. I’ve made a type of vintage card which is a… Read more »

Today’s card is brought to you by WWYS Challenge #64 Rose Wonder. Check out their site to see the Design Team Inspiration and see this week’s participant’s entries. I’ve made and easel card for this challenge and it fits nicely in a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White C6 envelope. I’ve used the stamp set for the small images which I stamped in Sweet Sugarplum which is one of the new 2016 – 2018 In Colors. I also used Emerald Envy and an Aqua… Read more »

Global Design Project #034 Sketch Challenge OK, I’m back participating in the Global Design Project #034 Sketch Challenge this week after a break due to fracturing my leg in 3 places, near my ankle. Now in a moon boot with a walking stick means I can get to my craft room. This week’s challenge is a sketch. Here is my card: I’ve used quite a number of different products to make this card. Well I had great plans for today’s Blog Hop until I had a fall, so my apologies for only featuring part of what I had planned. I have used the Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies to make some little square based pyramids which open. You could place little surprises inside them. Now if you’re very accurate with your folding and burnish your folds well, you can glue the bases together and one of the closing sides. Add your ribbon and trim… Read more »

Saturday brings me to another Global Design Project Challenge contribution. I do like these challenges as it does force me to think outside the box so to speak. This week it’s a CASE the designer, Krista Frattin. Here is Krista’s design: It’s such a pretty card and I love that Designer Series Paper very much and was tempted to use it, however I used another Designer Series Paper from the same suite. Here’s my take on the sketch: I’m making Mothers Day… Read more »

I was asked to make an “Engagement Card’ for a couple which needed to be Black and White with a bit of pink. What do you think?  The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black with the border stamped in Blushing Bride. The flowers on the heart are Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. I dyed the ribbon myself using Blushing Bride Re-inker and Rubbing Alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer, then some Whisper White Seam Binding all in a small plastic bag. Works a treat… Read more »

Oh I just love this Occasions Catalogue. There are so many beautiful products inside. I found it difficult to choose products for this post however, I finally came up with 2 I feel are must haves and which I love. I’ve basically used Perfect Plum as the basis for this card. The card base is Whisper White. The layer is Perfect Plum which has been stamped with the large flower and the small flower all in Perfect Plum so it’s… Read more »

Here’s another sample from January’s Technique Class. This card uses the Emboss Resist Technique with added water and colour. I just love this stamp set and the Rose Garden Thinlits which go with it. This is such a beautiful technique and is so easy when you use the Shimmery White Card. I’ve also used Versamark and White Emboss Powder. The sentiment and the image for inside the card and the outside of the envelope both come from the Rose Wonder Photopolymer… Read more »
