It’s my younger brother’s 60th Birthday soon, so I thought this colour challenge lent itself nicely to a birthday card for him. So here’s my project:

Coloue Inkspiration #22a

I used Embossing Paste for the background and although I had the lid on tightly and kept it in a zip lock bag. However. it had dried out a bit since I last used it in June. Sadly, I then had to pack it up for moving home and only just got it out again. Well, I added a tiny bit of water and a generous amount of stirring and it worked a treat combined. I added some Soft Suede and the brick wall type mask. It’s definitely on my re-order list.

Coloue Inkspiration #22b

I used the Large Number Framelit Dies to die cut the 60 and added clear Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkely. The feathers were so easy to stamp and hand cut. The feathers are a two step photopolymer stamp from Feather Together. I also added a feather to the insert of the card and the outside of the envelope.

60 never looked so good!

I still have another project to share with you as part of Colour INKspiration #22 & #23

Oh a second challenge. What fun!! Want to see my card?

What’s black and white and read? Music of course!! Did you think I was going to say something else? I added some Crumb Cake and Silver Foil, too. This is a fun little card and could be used for Christmas (that’s the music). Or you could use it for New Year by changing the colours and the music too. Love the silver foil bells, don’t you?

I couldn’t resist the red berries for the card insert and the outside of the envelope. It really enhances the colour of the Crumb Cake, don’t you think?  I hope you enjoyed my projects for Colour INKspiration #22 & #23.

Anyway, this has been fun and I certainly hop you’ll hop to all the blogs participating and leave a comment. We love to read comments. Make sure you pop on over to the Colour Inkspirations Facebook Page to see what’s going on and participate yourself.

Up next on the CI Blog Hop we have the talented, Julia Quinn.
