Global Design Project #109
This week at the Global Design Project #109 Challenge it’s a wonderful Colour Challenge of Old Olive, Gold and Black. The design team have come up with some wonderful inspiration so make sure you check it out.
So after much scratching of head for ideas and searching of stamp and dies, I came up with an idea in my head which originally included the Pansy Punch, however they were too big for what I wanted. So, I headed for plan ‘B’ – we’ve all been there, right? Onto my Global Design Project #109 card.
The sentiment actually comes from Best Birds and I did the emboss in any colour technique. Don’t know it? Well, you ink up in Versamark, then ink up in the colour of choice, put Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder on it and heat set. Easy really. So that went on the Gold Foil Sheet which was die cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelit Die. It’s a bit hard to see under all the foliage.
Here’s a closer look at the central piece of the card. The Old Olive was spritzed with water before being run through the Big Shot with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions folder. The spritzing just gives the card a much better impression with the folder than if you don’t spritz with water. The leaves are from the Leaf Punch.
I’ve stamped the larger paisley pieces in Old Olive and used my Bone Folder to give them some curl. The smaller paisleys are stamped in Versamark and then Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set.
If course I had to stamp inside the card and on the outside of the envelope using Old Olive and the larger of the paisley stamps from Paisleys & Posies which is a delightful photopolymer set.
