I thought I’d share my ‘story’ with you as so many of you ask how I got into Stampin’ Up! I guess I’ve always been a crafty person and was encouraged to learn to knit and sew by my Mother. After

I started teaching (way back in the dark ages) I dabbled in many crafts. One of the first was stamping and typically card making. I also made badges and 3D projects and played with many different techniques.

When my family came along, my stamping took a back seat for a while and I dabbled in many other crafty pursuits: – pottery, calligraphy (which I still do), spinning and weaving, cross stitch (for which I have won prizes), sewing and knitting.

For a number of years my best friend and I did lots of country-style sewing and other projects and ran market stalls locally and further a field. During this time, I still went back to my stamping and card making often. I found it was great for stress relief and could be done in short bursts if need be.

I joined an Australian based direct selling business, however it was filled with promises and that was about it. I was still looking for a company to fulfill my needs and Stampin’ Up! was not yet on the Australian scene. I joined an USA based scrapbooking company in order to buy cheap supplies, however there were problems with supply and eventually the company folded. During the latter stages of this venture, Stampin’ Up! came to Australia and my good friend Leonie Schroder joined them. I started buying supplies from Leonie and just loved all the products. At this stage I was still working full-time and didn’t feel I could give my time to a ‘part-time’ business. 3 years after being introduced to Stampin’ Up! I finally joined and I haven’t looked back since.

I was worried, I wouldn’t make my quarterly minimums – I made it at my first party!! Yes, at times I did struggle to make the minimums but I coped by planning my spending over the quarter as at this stage I was a hobby demonstrator. I then started running regular classes with work colleagues and other friends, in the staff room after work. This was great as it helped me decide I wanted to do Stampin’ Up! as a business when I retired.

I now run classes from home and am happy to travel all over Sydney, North Western Sydney, Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains to do parties, workshops and classes. Why Stampin’ Up!? Well:-

  • the products are fantastic
  • the products allow you to be as creative as you want or use their ideas to use or teach others (through their catalogues and Impressions magazine for demos)
  • the products co-ordinate so if you don’t want to think about what goes with something it’s all done for you or you can do your own thing
  • the quality of the products is superior (I’ve found) to other similar products available in the market
  • it helps me make beautiful paper craft projects to give to family and friends
  • it helps me record my precious family memories both digitally and traditionally and we now have PROJECT LIFE!!!
  • the service from the company is wonderful
  • they are always searching for new and innovative products to help everyone pursue their creative interests.
  • it allows me to pay for my habit and contribute to other things we might want to do as a couple
  • it provides me with ‘my time’ as often or as infrequent as I need

I just LOVE Stampin’ Up! Through my classes I’ve seen women who have said they couldn’t create anything, make beautiful handmade cards which they are proud to give to others. I’ve seen women grow in confidence and self-esteem. It gives those involved some precious ‘me’ time to create, sit, chat have a cuppa and ‘chill’ out.

But Stampin’UP! gave me gifts far greater than time and financial freedom and they were unexpected and priceless self-esteem and self Confidence. I like who I am because of what I have accomplished and experienced as a Stampin’ UP! demonstrator and I have two children who are strong Christ Centered leaders because of the skills they learned 2nd hand from a home based business.

I know that Stampin’UP! can help you achieve personal goals short-term or long-term, big or little and they may even throw in a few unexpected ones. Let me believe in you and help you begin today to fulfill some of your dreams.

Throughout my  years with the company I have seen and experienced change and growth, seen demonstrators enjoy every facet, perk and opportunity. I’ve made life long friends, I have had my life changed and I hope I have touched a few lives too.

My team is a strong, vibrant sharing community of demonstrators enjoying each other, Stampin’UP! and their own reasons for joining.

My #1 goal for my team is happiness. If they’re happy I’m happy.

I’d love to be a part of your Stampin’ story – join us today.
