Glitter Embossing Paste

Today we’re getting some glitz on with Glitter Embossing Paste. Today’s post is all about adding glitter to your embossing paste. This is how I do it, you need to experiment to find the best way which suits you. Here’s one of the samples I made into a card:

Glitter Embossing Paste

This one uses the mask which looks like a medallion and I thought it was good enough to stamd alone as a card front, so it’s a card for any occasion.

Thank you for supporting me. I do appreciate it.
Remember to put the Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter on when the Embossing Paste is still wet. Tip off the excess Glitter and leave it to dry. You can speed up the drying process by using your heat tool. Here’s another card I made using this technique:
Glitter Embossing Paste 1

Make sure you purchase some Embossing Paste and have a play with it. There are so many techniques you can use it with, so it’s a worthwhile purchase.

If you are in Australia and need a demonstrator, then you can order your supplies in my online store here.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.

Birthday Delivery Watercolored

Birthday Delivery Watercolored. This post features yet another card from my Watercolor Pencil Class recently where we used Shimmery White Card, Birthday delivery Photopolymer Stamp Set, Basic Black Archival Ink and a Blender Pen.

Birthday Delivery Watercolored

The ladies just coloured some images in on Shimmery White card and took them home to complete cards as they wished. I chose to complete mine as a class sample. The Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens really do make this type of colouring in very easy. Here’s a closer look at the girl with her birthday banner.

Birthday Delivery Watercolored. 1

It’s always good to lighten colours by adding white or mixing white and a colour to create a new colour. The banner was just coloured around the edges for effect.

Birthday Delivery Watercolored. 2

I also stamped the gift on the inside of the card and the front and back of the envelope and coloured them also with the Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.

Heat Embossing with Embossing Paste

Oh this Embossing Paste is so much fun. Today’s technique is Heat Embossing with Embossing Paste. It’s quick and easy and delivers an unique effect every time.

Here is a sample, from the video, which I’ve made into a card:

Heat Embossing with Embossing Paste 1

This one features Silver Emboss Powder over the Embossing Paste and it has been left to dry over night before heat setting. (It’s winter here in Australia therefore things take longer to dry.) Watch the video to see the different techniques with Heat Embossing with Embossing Paste:

Isn’t that a great technique yielding very different outcomes each time and it’s quick and easy to do and clean up.

Stained Glass Dragonfly

Stained Glass Dragonfly Today I bring you another card made in a class recently. This class had a focus on Watercolor Pencil Techniques and we only just touched the surface of all the techniques you can do with Watercolor Pencils.

So this technique is the Stained Glass Technique. Here is my card:

Stained Glass Dragonfly

The card base is Basic Black and then we have sandwiched a piece of Vellum and Whisper White together and then adhered it to the front of the card. The Dragonfly and sentiment are stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink on the Vellum and allowed to dry. We used the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen and then played with the sponge and Multipurpose Liquid Glue technique to adhere the Vellum and Whisper White. Here’s a closer look at the Dragonfly:

Stained Glass Dragonfly 1

All the card were different even though we all did the same technique. One of the ladies didn’t shade her background and this gave the Dragonfly quite a striking effect on the Whisper White.

Freshly Brewed Christmas in July1

Freshly Brewed Christmas in July

This week the Latte Girls are inspiring you with Freshly Brewed Christmas in July projects. It’s never too early to get a start on your Christmas Gift Giving and Card making, so hopefully after today you’ll have some inspiration to get you started.

This week, as we speak, I’m moving into my new home. So as time was scarce leading up to this post I CASED the Catalogue and you can see this card on page 112.

Freshly Brewed Christmas in July

Now, my card isn’t identical but it was quick and easy. I stamped the reindeer in Crumb Cake and added a Cherry Cobbler Enamel Shape from the Regals Collection. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and punched with the Triple Banner Punch.

I hope you liked this card which would be suitable as a masculine card or for making quite a number to send out.

Make sure you hop on over to the other blogs to see their inspiration and creativeness:

Colouring Embossing Paste

Today we look at Stampin’ Up!’s Embossing Paste again. Colouring Embossing Paste couldn’t be easier with the help of your Silicon Craft Sheet, Re-inker, stamp pad or Stampin’ Write Marker. Here’s the sample I prepared before the video:

Colouring Embossing Paste

This sample was coloured with Soft Sky Reinker and texture added with a Paper Piercing Tool. The Embossing Paste was spread with a medium to thick density.

Watch the video to see how I coloured the Embossing Paste:

Watercolor Pencil Spritz Background

Watercolor Pencil Spritz Background. I featured this technique a little while ago but did it again in a Watercolor Pencil Class. It’s very easy and the class participants loved it as their first foray into Watercolor Pencils, Watercolor Paper and Stampin’ Up! Spritzers. You can see how the technique is done here.

Watercolor Pencil Spritz Background

The Deatiled Dragonfly Thinlits Dies was die cut using Silver Foil and adhered to the front of the card with Glue Dots. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink.

I’ve used Awesomely Artistic to stamp a smaller dragonfly on the inside of the card and the outside of the envelope, front and back, in Bermuda Bay.

Embossing Paste How To

This is my first in a series on Stampin’ Up!’s new Embossing Paste. Embossing Paste How To will show you a couple of samples plus a video to show you just how easy this product is to use and how it can add texture, dimension and interest to your paper craft projects.

This is a card I featured previously on using masks. I thought I’d share it here again today as it’s one of the cards I made from the sample in the video.

More videos in this series coming. Don’t miss out.
Thank you for your support. I appreciate you subscribing to my Channel.
Here’s a closer look at the unfinished sample of card in the video
Freshly Brewed Projects with Masks
Now I did a sample using the ‘Brick Wall’ mask and decided to make a card from it for a friend. I’ve left quite a bit of the Embossing Paste area uncovered to reveal the texture and dimension it adds to the card front.
Embossing Paste How To
I’ve used the Crushed Curry card from the video and added the sentiment which I banner cut and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Basket is stamped in Basic Gray Archival  Ink on Very Vanilla and hand cut after colouring with inks and a Blender Pen

Glossy Faux Watercoloring

You will love this technique. It is messy but easy and will produce two very different background pieces for you to use. Here is one of my Glossy Faux Watercoloring cards made using this technique.

Glossy Faux Watercoloring

I had so much fun playing with this technique but be warned you could have stained fingers and finger nails after the process so if that worries you consider wearing some latex gloves to protect you hands. Watch the video to find out more:

Glossy Faux Watercoloring 1

I’ve used Crafting Forever and combined it with some Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack and ribbon. You do need to do some ‘fussy’ cutting of the pens but they’re easy and adhere them with Stampin’ Dimensionals. You could colour them with inks and a blender pen if desired.
