ESAD Retirement Blog Hop

ESAD Retirement Blog Hop – there are so many wonderful products on the retirement list, but be quick as it’s only while stocks last. So I’m glad you made it here to hop along for another wonderful ESAD Blog Hop. Now I’ve checked the retirement list and the stamp sets and punches I have used are still available.

So this set is Kinda Eclectic with Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder ink with the sentiment from Cottage Greetings.

This gives you a closer look at the butterflies which are punched out using the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches and Pearl Basic Jewels being added to the bodies.

Also On The Retired List

Now this card uses one of my favourite sets and punches, Grateful Bunch and the Blossom Builder  Punch.  I’ve used the same inks on this card as the previous card. I just love the lace detail in this set as it’s very versatile as are the wonderful flowers. I’ve stamped them full strength first and then stamped off and punched these ones out with the pinch.

Here’s a closer view of the flower detail:

I’ve had cut this butterfly and added Pearl Basic Jewels to the flowers and the centre of the butterfly. The sentiment is from the Cottage Greeting set another of my favourites sets, especially for sentiments.

Now, make sure you visit all the other blogs in the hop to see all the inspiration and creativeness shared by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from Australasia. Also, don’t forget to grab a bargain before they’re all gone. You don’t want to be disappointed.

WWYS #112 Carousel Birthday

WWYS #112 Carousel Birthday. Happy weekend to you all and I’m here with another challenge entry today for WWYS #112 Carousel Birthday.

I just love this set from the current Occasions Catalogue and it is still available in Clear Mount or Wood Mount. I decided to create a bit of a scene with this set and used masking as a technique as well as some splattering with the Gold Wink of Stella.  I’ve also used my Blender Pen and Watercolor Pencils. So here’s my card:

So, I stamped the 2 ‘Big Tops’ and masked them off before stamping the Carousel. I then masked the Carousel and stamped the ‘Horses”. Now  I used Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen for the Carousel. Then I used just a Blender Pen to colour most of the horses before using Gold Wink of Stella to colour the poles and saddles on the horses and parts of the Cupcakes on the Carousel.

Here’s a photo of 2 of my Demonstrator friends at On Stage Local, Sydney’s Luna Park

Make sure to visit the WWYS (What Will You Stamp) Blog and look at the inspiration from their Deign Team and the others who are participating.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.

Splattering Technique Video

Splattering Technique Video – this video will showcase several forms of splattering to create backgrounds for your card making or other paper craft projects.

I used the paint brush or toothbrush splattering as a background to this card which I have made for a friend. I used Berry Burst and Fresh Fig which are 2017 – 2019 In Colors. I’ve then used Sheltering Tree to ‘make a picture’ with Crumb Cake, Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst and Fresh Fig. The backing card for the front of the card and the sentiment is Berry Burst. It’s an easy technique to do and there are a few ways to accomplish the Splattering Technique so watch the video and see how I did it as one way to accomplish the techniques.

Now if you want to see more of my videos, subscribe today. Thank you for subscribing.

So what did you think? It’s lots of fun and you could get your children involved in your projects as well. Here’s another of my cards I made using a stamped background this time.

I hope you enjoyed today’s video and will pop back again next week to see what I have for you.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.

Daisy Delight

Daisy Delight is a wonderful new stamp set in the 2017 – 2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. My good friend Leonie Schroder was asked to demonstrate this sweet suite at On Stage Local in Sydney this month. I loved it so much I had to buy it in my Product Purchase Premiere which is open to Demonstrators who attend an On Stage Local or Live event. Needless to say my BBB (Big Brown Box) with my PPP (Product Purchase Premiere) in it has arrived and I have been playing.

The Designer Series Paper is just gorgeous and I can see it being used a lot in many different projects. The items from the 2017 – 2018 Annual Catalogue which have been used are:

  • # 145361 Daisy Delight Bundle (stamp set & punch) $54.75
  • # 143669 Daisy Delight Stamp Set – 16 photopolymer Stamps $30.00
  • # 143713 Daisy Punch $31.00
  • $ 144137 Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper $19.25
  • #144141 Faceted Gems (Gold) $8.75
  • #144251 Powder Pink $14.00

Freshly Brewed with Cake and Candles

Freshly Brewed with Cake and Candles sounds like someone is having a birthday and they’ve invited me for Cake and Coffee. Well it’s not quite my birthday yet but the Latte Girls are celebrating this week with all things Cake and Candles. I have a sneak peek of some new products in this post

This is a set called Birthday Delivery Stamp Set #143660 which has 23 photopolymer stamps in the set. Combine this with the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies #143658 with 10 dies which also cut images from #144118 Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper. You will be able to purchase the Birthday delivery Bundle #145294 for 10% less than buying the stamp set and Framelits dies separately.

This is a close up view of the Cake and Candles which were coloured with Watercolor Pencils and blended with Clear Wink of Stella to give it some glittery goodness deserving at birthday time.

Here’s a closer view of the banner and balloons which were also coloured with Watercolored Pencils and a Clear Wink of Stella.

Make sure you check out Leonie and Narelle’s blogs to see their inspiration with Cake and Candles.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.

Generational Stamping Video

Generational Stamping Video or Stamping Off Technique is such an easy technique and is also fun to do when creating your own backgrounds for your stamping. Watch the video to see how easy this technique is to do:

Great technique, isn’t it? I do hope you have a try and let me know how it works out for you. Email me a photo of your finished project using Stampin’ Up! only products, the Generational Stamping or Stamping Off Technique and I’ll send you a little prize (Australian Residents Only and you need to leave your email address in the comment so I can contact you for your details. Thanks)
Some more details about the New Products used here from the 2017 – 2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue:
  • Crafting Forever Stamp Set (new Angel Policy set) #143955 (clear) and #143958 (wood)
  • Pretty Label Punch #143715

Now I made a background for the punched sentiment to sit on by punching 2 of the Pretty Label Punch in Dapper Denim/Sweet Sugarplum and layering them behind the sentiment so there was a small border of colour showing. Great trick to give some dimension and prominence to your sentiments when using this punch.

Thumping Technique Video

Thumping Technique Video – this is quite an easy technique which has been done before , however I thought I’d do it with a current stamp set. It is quite effective and can give your solid image stamps a littler different look. Here’s my sample card:

This is the Floral Phrases Stamp Set and will be my ‘thank you’ customer cards for April. Here’s the video:

I hope you liked the video and it’s the first in my series of techniques. So make sure you don’t miss one by subscribing to my Video Chanel today.
What a difference this technique made to the image for this stamp? Do you like it? Are you going to give it a try? I do hope so. Here’s a closer look at the other card:

Global Design Project 082 Sketch Challenge

Global Design Project 082 Sketch Challenge. I love sketches, don’t you? This week I’m playing along with the Global Design Project and their sketch challenge. Make sure you check out their blog to see what the Design Team have come up with for the challenge and of course the inspiration from participants in the challenge.

EDIT: Woohoo just received a Special Mention for my card

My card has some Sneak Peek from the 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue.

I’ve used some of the New! Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper Item #144118.

A co-ordinating stamp set is also featured with the sentiment. Just love this suite and you should put it on your shopping list when these products become available on June 1st.

New! Birthday Delivery • 23 photopolymer stamps Item # 143660. There’s framelits too so no fussy cutting and they match up with the Designer Series Paper too!! Now what else can you see that’s new?

Isn’t this a gorgeous punch? Another item for your shopping list on June 1st. This is the New! Pretty Label Punch Item #143715.

I’ve also used some Gold Metallic Thread and teamed that with another New product – New! Glitter Enamel Dots Item #144200 and they co-ordinate with Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, Berry Burst, Old Olive. Now the D.S.P. I used co-ordinates with Daffodil Delight but I think these new Glitter Enamel Dots go well on this card.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.

Bunny Box

Bunny Box (Video) is made with the Gift Bag Punch Board and Layering Ovals with a couple of punches as well. I do apologise for the length of the Video, but I wanted to show you all steps. Once you’ve made one the others will follow very quickly.

The Blushing Bride Box was my prototype so there are a few blemishes, shall we say. However, by the time I got to the Soft Sky one in the Video I had it all down pat.

Thank You for signing up to my YouTube Chanel (click on the above banner). I’m sure you’ll take something away from each video.
