Today my card is Petal Palette GDP Sketch Challenge #128. I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do for this challenge and mulled it over for quite some time. Here’s a look at the beautiful sketch for this challenge.
Hasn’t Steffi made a beautiful sample for the challenge? I still did a landscape card but not a long narrow one as I don’t have envelopes to fit. I like to #makeacardsendacard. So, anyway here’s is my card.
Petal Palette GDP Sketch Challenge
I used the Lots of Labels Framelit Dies to die cut a piece of Sweet Sugarplum card and then ran that through the Big Shot with one of the Petal Pair T.I.E.F, then used the Whisper White Craft Ink and a Sponge Dauber to highlight the pattern.
The bird was stamped in Dapper Denim on Watercolor Paper then I used an Aqua Painter to drag the colour onto the white parts of the bird. The sentiment is also stamped in Dapper Denim. I added Metallic Enamel Shapes to the card front as well.
Petal Palette GDP Sketch Challenge Basics:
- Card base is 14. 9 cm x 21 cm or 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored and folded at 10.5 cm or 4 1/4″. This is a landscape card
- Layer 1 is cut to 14.4 cm x 10 cm or 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Layer 2 is cut to 13.9 cm x 9.5 cm or 5″ x 3 3/4″
- Lots of Labels Die was the 2nd smallest
- Layers are adhered with Liquid Glue then the embellishments adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Here’s a last look at the card which has an insert and envelope. They are stamped with the dotted image from the stamp set in Sweet Sugarplum.
