This week I have another Gift Card for you to make an alternative to the one I showed a couple of weeks back. I got this idea from Billie Moan at Rambling Rose Studios. (I think all ideas are shared and are a conglomeration of ideas from all over the place.)You can use the Envelope Punch Board to make an envelope from Designer Series Paper for it and just add a mailing label to the front.
The video will show you how I made this. Each one is a little different and you could make them for any occasion, not just Christmas. Change the Designer Series Paper and the embellishment on the Belly Band and you’ll have one for every occasion.
The above shows the inside of the Gift Card. Instead of DSP you could stamp and die cut or fussy cut an appropriate image – movie pass; coffee/tea card; birthday gift etc. Here’s the video:
- The base is 4″ x 11″, scored at 3″ 5-1/2″ and 8″. Make a mountain with the center fold. Inside that mountain place Tear Tape or a bead of Multipurpose Liquid Glue flush with sides except centerfold side and glue mountain together. Use Decorative Label punch to make a partial punch. Trim remaining two straight sides (either side of Decorative Label opening) about 1/16″ so that gift card can slip inside. Fold like a book. Decorate front of holder with a piece of Real Red Cardstock 3 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ and DSP on top of that 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″.
- Inside this holder there is a piece of Whisper White 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ with a stamp of Christmas wishes.
- The Belly Band is 1″ x 8 3/4″, scored at 2 1/4″ and 6 1/2″. Wrap card and secure with SNAIL by overlapping edges in the front.
- The Reindeer was stamped on Soft Suede and fussy cut with Paper Snips. Add to the card belly band with dimensionals. The piece of DSP on the inside was 2″ x 3 1/2″
I hope you like these Gift Card ideas I’m bringing you and would love to read your comments.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.
Remember, your creativeness is only limited by your imagination. Keep smiling and until next we share …
