This is the last of the cards from my October Card Class where the ladies concentrated on a technique. We used the Aqua Painters for all of the cards – 2 each of 3 designs. This one is just an alternate on one of the other cards they made. The image on this card was stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black and then the Aqua Painters did the work with reinkers. This time we turned the image so it was facing… Read more »

Here’s another card made at a recent card class which is held on the first Saturday each month at 2pm. We concentrated on Aqua Brush techniques. The card front is our gorgeous Shimmery White card which makes a beautiful background for this technique. I’ve used Versamark to stamp the image and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder to raise the image on the card and give some dimension to the image. I’ve used some of the leaves of the image to stamp… Read more »

Here’s another project from this month’s Triple Treat Class which is held on the first Friday of each month at 7pm. You make 2 cards and a 3D project. This card features Beautiful Bunch stamped in Lost Lagoon and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and also stamped in Lost Lagoon and punched out with the Word Window Punch. Beautiful Bunch comes with several smaller images which I have used here to embellish the inside of the card and… Read more »

We made this card as part of my Triple Treat Class which runs the first Friday of every month at 7pm. The participants make 3 projects – 2 cards and a 3D project. This card features dry and wet embossing. I love the Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as it is a great one for Spring type cards and we’re certainly having a wonderful Spring here in the Hawkesbury. The Beautiful Bunch stamp set needs you to line up… Read more »

This is a stamp set I featured a short while ago and is in the Annual Catalogue. It’s quite a versatile set and you can use it with many different colour combinations. There’s also a lot of texture in this card with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamp set is great as it has a few sentiments and image stamps. I have used one of the image stamps to embellish inside the card and the outside of… Read more »

As some of you may know, I’ve been asked by a local shop for some of my cards. Connie wanted some special birthdays, so I looked around Pinterest and adapted a couple of designs I saw there and this is what I came up with. I made a few the same, just in different colours. I’ve used Whisper White as the base of all the cards and added a colour as another layer. This one is Blackberry Bliss. I inked… Read more »

Yesterday I shared the Vivid Vases stamp set with some sewing and today I’ve decided to take a totally different direction and use some dry embossed vellum. I used an Aqua Painter again to colour the image and added tiny pearl to the foliage of the flower. The bow is made from the Painted Blooms Cotton Twine. I do like it’s thickness and the way it seems to tie lovely bows. I’ve used an image from Mum’s Love Photopolymer Stamp… Read more »

It’s the beginning of a new week, so that means Leonie and I have another instalment of Monday Makes for you. This week we’re using the Bright and Beautiful stamp set and the Star Framelits. Don’t forget to pop over to Leonie’s site to see what she has to share. I know it will be stunning and a little birdie may have told me there’s a box involved. My first share is a double time stamping Christmas card using the… Read more »

Monday Makes this week features the Hardwood Stamp. Now I have the wood mounted stamp, as my personal preference for large background stamps such as these, is to use wood mount. Now the trick to using these large stamps, I find it to ensure you press the ink well onto all areas of the stamp. Line your card and the stamp up with your grid paper and stamp. I make sure I press all areas of the stamp onto the card,… Read more »

Here’s a new technique that is quite easy but very effective. You simply stamp with Versamark Ink, add White embossing powder, heat set and colour. It’s that simple. I also stamped the indie of the cards and the envelopes. Products used: Stamp Set – Flower Shop Embossing – Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool & White Stampin’ Emboss Powder Ink – Coastal Cabana and Versamark Pad Card – Basic Black and Whisper White Blendabilities – Rich Razzleberry and Coastal Cabana Sponge Daubers… Read more »
