On Wednesday, I told you Stampin’ Up! Weekly Deals will end in a couple of weeks. So for today’s Freebie Friday, I decided to feature the Stars Framelits Dies so you could make your own ‘star’ card. I’ve made a number of different ones and it depends on how many and the type of stars you use as to the number you need to cut out with your Big Shot. Here’s another sample: This one has the Silver Foil Sheet… Read more »

Today’s card is for the Global Design Project #GDP028! This week we get to CASE the incredible Jessica Williams. Jess is on the Stampin’ Up!® Artisan Design team and is from Australia. Here’s my entry which is CASEing the design loosely of Jessica’s card. What do you think? I seem to have made a few cards lately with the ideas in my head not turning out to be quite what I had envisioned. Anyway I felt the design leant itself… Read more »

This week’s challenge over at the Global Design Project is a CASE the Designer. The Designer is the lovely Michelle Last and here is her card to CASE. Make sure you pop on over and have a look at all the inspiration at the Global Design Project. Here is my take on Global Design Project #024 CASE the Designer. For the first time in a while the card actually turned out how I had it pictured in my head…. Read more »

Here’s another card I have made for the Global Design Project #023 | Theme Challenge. I was inspired by a card I saw on Carolyn Bennie’s blog where she did some Faux Embossing. I decided to do a similar thing using Balloons. I just wish I had a way of ensuring the photograph represented the colours better. I’ve used the Balloon Bouquet Punch to punch out some balloons in Soft Sky and then adhered them to the Soft Sky layer of… Read more »

I’ve made an Easel Card this week for the Global Design Project #023 | Theme Challenge. It has many elements with dry and wet embossing, stamping off, ink distressing, masking and layering just to name a few. It was fun to make. I had this idea in my head however it hasn’t quite turned out like the picture in my head. It’s close. I have other ideas for this challenge however I’m not sure I’ll get them made this week…. This is the last in my series on Watercolor Wonder. If it’s not a set or bundle you have, perhaps you should think about getting it. Have a look at the three posts I’ve done on this bundle and see how different the cards all are. Just think of the possibilities. I’ve used 2 other stamp sets with this card – Sassy Salutations and Work of Art. Here’s another card using the same stamp sets and colours however, I changed… Read more »

This is the second in my series on Watercolor Wings. Same stamp set and Framelit Dies as yesterday’s post, however, totally different looking card, I’m sure you’ll agree. I’ve used the 2014-2016 Designer Series Paper Stack and chosen Lost Lagoon as the base. Here’s another card made exactly the same but using a different paper pattern. I used the sentiment in the stamp set for the front of the card. The Butterfly is stamped in Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and… Read more »

Here are two cards made with the same products, just put together a bit differently. Which do you prefer? I love this Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper, it’s just so elegant and co-ordinates with any colour. I’ve teamed the Designer Series Paper with Mint Macaron, Black and Very Vanilla. I’ve added Mint Macaron behind the tag of Very Vanilla and both these are cut with the Deco Labels Framelit Dies using the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform. Timeless Elegance has… Read more »

I made some of these a while back and decided to use up some more of the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper and some beautiful Butterflies which I already had cut out. It’s amazing the number of bits and pieces you collect as ‘left-overs’ and the creations you can make with them. This is such a card and would do for many different occasions. I’ve made this one as a birthday card. I used my all time favourite Butterfly Stamp… Read more »

This is a stamp set I featured a short while ago and is in the Annual Catalogue. It’s quite a versatile set and you can use it with many different colour combinations. There’s also a lot of texture in this card with the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamp set is great as it has a few sentiments and image stamps. I have used one of the image stamps to embellish inside the card and the outside of… Read more »
