The lovely Debbie Yeoman’s taught us how to make this wonderful slider card using some well placed Dimensionals and two 5 cent pieces. It would make a great male card but equally good for the female gold enthusiast. A bit of trivia – GOLF actually stands for Gentlemen Only Women Forbidden. Oh well I guess that didn’t last forever. The large Wild Wasabi Circle is ‘faux suede’ technique which in real life makes it look like a golf green. The… Read more »

This month’s Card Class focused on a new technique called Double Matted Frame. I decided to add the embossing on the top layer as well. We used the Sprinkles of Life Photopolymer Stamp Set and the co-ordinating Tree Builder Punch. The ground at the base of the Oval Frame is just the candle stamp turned sideways and inked up. Then we added the garden of flowers around the tree, on the inside of the card and on the envelope as… Read more »

This is the Spotlight Technique with a twist. Instead of using a circle, I’ve used a rectangle to ‘spotlight’ various aspects of the stamping. I made two similar cards. See if you can spot the difference. These cards use the Sprinkles Of Life Photopolymer set which also has a co-ordinating punch in the Tree Builder Punch which I will feature over the coming days. For every purchase of this set, A$3 goes to Ronald McDonald House Charities here in Australia… Read more »

I shared a soccer card the other day so thought I’d better do a card for the girls. This card is quite simple and features some embossing in White Embossing powder. I’ve stamped the inside and the envelope, using the same stamp but Melon Mambo ink. Same card but made landscape and you can see the stamping both inside the card and on the envelope. I’ve stamped the sentiment first and then punched it out using the Scallop Oval Punch…. Read more »

Many people have trouble tying a great bow. So, I decided today to share with you a quick and easy way to tie a bow which is fool-proof for both tying a bow to add to a card or for tying onto a gift. Well that’s it for today’s post. I hope you’ve found it useful. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share. If you… Read more »

Isn’t this flower just wonderful? My friend Leonie made a similar card a while back and I thought I needed to try the technique too. It’s apparently called the ‘Pulled Colour’ Technique. You stamp your image and then using an Aqua Painter you pull the colour from the ink to colour you image. I probably could have left a bit more white space inside the image, however as a first attempt, I’m fairly pleased with it. I did go in… Read more »

It is winter here in Australia and whilst we can have some gorgeous sunny days many have very cold starts and very crisp, cold nights. I was inspired by Linda Geater to make this card. She shared one on a forum we’re on together and she kindly shared the instructions. I used Lovely As A Tree stamp set for the trees and the image inside the card and on the outside of the envelope. For the fence I used the… Read more »

Did I tell you I made a few of these? I stamped with Stazon and then used ink and my Aqua Painter to colour the images. I used the butterfly stamp which comes with the set to stamp on the outside of the envelope and inside the card. I also love how you can use punches to layer sentiments. The card is the size of a normal C6 card but opens up . It just gives a bit of difference to the… Read more »
