Saturday brings me to another Global Design Project Challenge contribution. I do like these challenges as it does force me to think outside the box so to speak. This week it’s a CASE the designer, Krista Frattin. Here is Krista’s design: It’s such a pretty card and I love that Designer Series Paper very much and was tempted to use it, however I used another Designer Series Paper from the same suite. Here’s my take on the sketch: I’m making Mothers Day… Read more »

I was asked to make an “Engagement Card’ for a couple which needed to be Black and White with a bit of pink. What do you think?  The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black with the border stamped in Blushing Bride. The flowers on the heart are Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. I dyed the ribbon myself using Blushing Bride Re-inker and Rubbing Alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer, then some Whisper White Seam Binding all in a small plastic bag. Works a treat… Read more »

Oh I just love this Occasions Catalogue. There are so many beautiful products inside. I found it difficult to choose products for this post however, I finally came up with 2 I feel are must haves and which I love. I’ve basically used Perfect Plum as the basis for this card. The card base is Whisper White. The layer is Perfect Plum which has been stamped with the large flower and the small flower all in Perfect Plum so it’s… Read more »

Here’s another sample from January’s Technique Class. This card uses the Emboss Resist Technique with added water and colour. I just love this stamp set and the Rose Garden Thinlits which go with it. This is such a beautiful technique and is so easy when you use the Shimmery White Card. I’ve also used Versamark and White Emboss Powder. The sentiment and the image for inside the card and the outside of the envelope both come from the Rose Wonder Photopolymer… Read more »

The Occasions Catalogue has some wonderful bundles available for 15% less than if you purchased the products individually. This is one such bundle called Rose Wonder Photopolymer Bundle. I have used it here with a type of Emboss Resist and Water Colour Technique where I have stamped the image with Versamark and embossed it with White Emboss Powder then misted well with water and dropped reinker into the image with an Aqua Painter. It’s a lovely technique which is full… Read more »

I just love stamp sets which have multiple purposes. Today is my first post sharing cards made with Watercolor Wings Bundle which consists of the Watercolor Wings Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Bold Butterflies Framelit Dies. Here I have combined it with the Fluttering Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and some of the Silver Metallic Thread. I’ve also used the Greetings Thinlits Dies and some Silver Glimmer Paper to cut out a sentiment. I used one of the smaller stamps from… Read more »

This post is the last of my quick and easy Christmas Cards made using Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper, Delicate Ornament Thinlit Dies and Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies. All my layers are adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The combination of different aspects of the Delicate ornament Thinlit Dies makes it… Read more »

Just sharing some more of my quick make Christmas Cards when you run out at the last-minute. Again these feature the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper and the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits dies. I’ve also used the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies. The best tools to use when making these cards were : big shot, precision base plate and fine tip glue pen. The Precision Base Plate helps all those tiny little bits in the ornaments cut out cleanly and is… Read more »
