Recently I’ve needed to think outside the box for some cards suitable for Same-Sex Couples. I still have some more ideas floating around in my head, but here’s one of my last shares for a while of a card suitable for Same-Sex couples. Two tuxedos, one with the black tie and one with a red tie. I’ve used Stampin’ Write markers to draw in the buttons and colour the heart on the sentiment. I only made one of these cards… Read more »

In previous posts I have mentioned I provide cards to a local Giftware and Fashion Store. When visiting the shop the other day Connie asked me for cards for Same-Sex Couples.  One of my previous posts also had a rainbow effect for the front of the card. The rainbow has become the symbol for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. It signifies pride at having not only survived, but thrived in a world which has often been a hostile place…. I provide cards to a local Giftware and Fashion Shop and was asked to do some cards suitable for weddings. So this is one I came up with which I thought looked quite formal but may also suit same-sex couples. I made two the same, they just had different sentiments inside the card. I used Tuxedo Memento Black to stamp the sentiment on the front and the greeting inside the card. This is the second card with the heart placement… Read more »

The rainbow has become the symbol which supports same-sex couples. I decided to make some cards using Stampin’ Up! colours to make a rainbow as the background for a wedding card. I layered the strips of card at an angle and adhered them in place, then trimmed off the excess. I used the Tree Punch to create the triangles and a circle punch for the head. The black flower accent os from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack with a Rhinestone… Read more »

Thought I’d share some more cards which could be suitable for anyone really. To make the ‘Tuxedo’ I’ve cut 2 hearts, one each in Basic Black and Whisper White and cut the Whisper White one down to fit. I’ve drawn on the buttons and tied a loose knot in the ribbon and adhered it to the top of the Whit Heart. I’ve stamped the sentiment in Memento Black and just removed the ink from the heart and coloured it with… Read more »

We have another wedding to look forward to this year. This time in September at the beginning of Spring. So, I have made a couple of samples for the Save the Date Cards that need to go out before the end of the month. This one uses Raspberry Ripple, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card. I am using some of my recuperation time to catch up on some scrapbooking. I’ve just finished 2 more double pages of Amie & Jimmy’s wedding. I only have about 50 more pages to complete – well Rome wasn’t built in a day. Proud Dad; Happy Daughter. As she was walking from the car with her father, it suddenly dawned on her she was getting married. She started to tear up and I’d been fine up until then so I… Read more »

Well, what a week! I’ve finished the wedding invitations for DD’s wedding next month. I’ve made about 75 of everything and then realised I’d forgotten the bride’s parents (how funny would that be?). Anyway the wedding is why I have neglected my blog this week. So, without further a do, I’ll share with you the final pieces. I’ve erased details (not too well I might add) for privacy reasons. Now I must tell you, I couldn’t have done without my… Read more »
