Thanks for stopping by again today. The first Thursday of the month the Simple Stamping Techniques Design Team have a blog hop. Today’s we’re sharing Colour Blocking with Card Stock. Hop along and be inspired by all the projects shared by the Design Team. It’s an easy technique and well worth a try.
I must admit I haven’t tried this technique before. It worked!! First time!! I used:
Colour Blocking with Card Stock
I used the following colours for my colour blocking:
- Basic Gray A4 Card Stock
- Night Of Navy A4 Card Stock
- Seaside Spray A4 Cardstock
- Pacific Point A4 Card Stock
Use a sheet of Whisper White A4 Card Stock cut to the approximate size of your card front.
Cut the colours of card stock you require. I cut 3 x 3.7 cm and 1 x 3.8 cm or 4 x 1 3/8″
Trim to size. I trimmed it to 14.4 cm x 10 cm or 5 1/4″ x 4″
I then adhered the piece to my Basic Gray A4 Card Stock card base which measured 21 cm x 14.9 cm or 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Score and fold the card base at 10.5 cm or 4 1/4″
Keep the boat to use for another card or to finish off the card insert

Insert the sailing boat where the die cut came out of the colour blocking.
Adhere the colour blocked sailing boat to the card insert of Sparkle Glimmer Paper cut to 13.9 cm x 9.5 cm or 5″ x 3 3/4″
Adhere the anchor to the card front using Glue Dots. Loop the Night Of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine through the hole in the anchor and tie an overhand knot. Then twist the Night Of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine and adhere in place using a Glue Dots under the knot.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.
Remember, your creativeness is only limited by your imagination. Keep smiling and until next we share…
