Fall RemARKabky Creative Blog Tour
Now, this Fall RemARKabky Creative Blog Tour should fill yo u full of inspiration for the coming season. Make sure you check out all the blogs.
This is my ‘Fall’ card. I guess most of you who know me, just know how much I love this stamp set from the current Holiday Catalogue. We’re coming into Spring here in Australia and the bush fire season has already started. However, these colours not only remind me of Autumn/Fall but the coming of summer and all it brings. I started out with one idea in mind and ended up doing something totally different. I call it creative licence and I think we all suffer from it. Here’s a close up of the sentiment area:
I made the top layer of the card with Shimmery White card and embossed the sentiment with White Stampin’ Emboss. I sponged colour over that area and then wiped the excess ink off with paper towel. This left a nice crisp looking sentiment. I’ve used Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. If you look closely you can see some glimmer too.I used my Clear Wink of Stella to give it some glimmer which is probably clearer in the photo below.
I’ve used Linen Thread to tie around the top layer and add a bow. There’s a really thin layer of Early Espresso under the Shimmery White, then a layer of Cajun Craze. All these layers are adhered with Liquid Adhesive (Tombow) then I’ve used Foam Adhesive Strips to adhere all this to the card front.
