Freshly Brewed with Emboss Resist Designer Series Paper

freshly-brewed-header Today the Latte Team are bring you projects which feature Emboss Resist Designer Series Paper . I’ve used Fancy Frost to make this bag using the Gift Bag Punch Board.

Now I know you were probably expecting me to colour this beautiful paper with sponges, sponge daubers or a brayer however, I just loved the look of the crisp white with the embossed surface.

I’ve used a whole 12″ x 12″ sheet to make the bag and it’s very similar to one I made ages ago. You can see it here complete with a video tutorial.

The Gift Bag Punch Board is part of the Online Extravagnza, so don’t miss out on purchasing this great tool. I have about 6 videos which show you how to use it to make different items from cubes to bags.

The only difference with this bag is I turned the top to the inside of the bag and I only put holes in the front and back for the ribbon.

I cut an extra piece of Whisper White card and stamped on it, then placed it in the bottom of the bag. This serves not only to strengthen the base of the bag but to also send an extra Merry Christmas wish.

I’ve also cut away the sides at the top so the only pieces which turn over to the inside are the front and back. I placed the front and back so the punch tool on the Gift Bag Punch Board was in the centre and then punched the holes for the ribbon. I adhered the inside front and back flaps with Multipurpose Liquid Glue – just a dot in the centre.

Here’s a close up of the tag which is made using the Stars Framelit Dies and the Magnetic Platform.  I’ve used Crumb Cake cardstock and Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper. The Cookie Cutter Bundle was used for the Gingerbread man who is stamped in Crumb Cake and Real Red. The banner is made with the Duet Banner Punch and the sentiment is from Sweet Home. I sponged around the banner in Crumb Cake.

Now don’t forget the Online Extravaganza which is happening right now.

Make sure you stop on by at Leonie and Narelle’s blogs to see their marvellous inspirations.

  1. Love the bag Libby. The Merry Christmas in the bottom is very clever indeed. And the tag is super sweet.

    1. So glad you like it Narelle. The piece in the bottom was a last minute addition as I thought if someone placed something heavy in it, it may need extra strength
