Welcome back to another Latte Girls’ Freshly Brewed Blog Hop today focusing on Santa. I’ve gone for the more traditional Father Christmas today and hope you like what I have for you.
I have actually made quite a number of these cards as I’m using them for a swap at On Stage Live (Stampin’ Up!’s Live event for Demonstrators), in Brisbane next month. I will also be giving away the free tutorial in my 12 Weeks of Christmas to all those who have shopped with me this year.
So there are lots of hidden layers in this card which make it a little time consuming but I think it’s a lovely card, even if I do say so myself. The Gold Wink of Stella around the edges was a last minute add with the aid of a steel edge ruler and a baby wipe in between each card. Lots of sponging to give the antique effect too.
It’s a beautiful stamp set with many possibilities from cards which are quick and easy to those which take a little longer but will be enjoyed by those who appreciate your hand-made creations.
From this view you can probably see all the layers, well some of them anyway. It’s important to place some Stampin’ Dimensionals under the frame so it makes the painted Father Christmas sort of ‘pop’ in your design. I do cut my Stampin’ Dimensionals in half for some things but then used full ones on each corner of the Father Christmas panel.I’ve also decorated the inside of the card in a vintage style and stamped the front and back of the envelope.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.
Remember, your creativeness is only limited by your imagination. Keep smiling and until next we share …
