Another Saturday means it’s time I posted my card for the Global Design Project #031 | Theme Challenge. Now whilst this is coming to you I’m at Stampin’ Up!’s On Stage in Sydney and having lots of fun playing with products, getting the new Annual Catalogue and meeting and collaborating with lots of lovely Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around Australia.
So with tis as the theme, I thought the most appropriate stamp set to use would be Awesomely Artistic. I just love all the images in this set and find it quite versatile.
I used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line up the hatched image so I could get it to go right across my card and then used my trimmer to trim close to both the bottom and top edges of the entire image. I’ve hidden the Tea Lace Doily under it.
The whole card front is stamped with the ‘garden’ image, around the edges, in Mint Macaron and then I used a Sponge Dauber to ink distress all the edges of the card front.
I have interspersed the ‘garden’ image with pieces of fern and dragonflies stamped in Tip Top Taupe. I did ‘stamp off’ to make the images paler in tone.
I used a sentiment from ‘A Dozen Thoughts’ and stamped the frame from Awesomely Artistic around it, again using my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to line it up. The Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits are ideal to cut this piece out. I have placed Stampin’ Dimensionals under the frame and then added Silver Metallic Thread. It’s a little hard to see, but does add some pizzazz to the card.
As usual, I have stamped inside the card and on the outside of the envelope. This time I used 2 images from the stamp set and stamped in Mint Macaron.
The card is based on Tip Top Taupe, then a layer of Mint Macaron, followed by Watermelon Wonder and lastly Whisper White which has all the art work stamped on it.
I’m donating this card to Stampin’ Up! as part of the card share for On Stage today.
Make sure you pop on over to the Global Design Project Blog to see the inspiration of the designers and all those who participate in the challenges. The challenges are open to anyone, not just Demonstrators. As long as you use Stampin’ Up! products, you’re welcome to participate.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.
Remember, your creativeness is only limited by your imagination. Keep smiling and until next we share …
