Holiday Catalogue Fun
I’m doing a week-long feature on using Shimmer Paint and this is the first of many projects I hope to share. Using the Swirls & Curls textured Impressions Folder (Holiday Catalogue), I have embossed, then used a sponge to add the Copper Shimmer Paint to the raised portions of the embossing.
Holiday Catalogue Fun Tips:
- Use 1 of your Acrylic Blocks as a palette. Drop 1 or 2 drops of Shimmer Paint onto it then dab your sponge in it until you have only a light coverage, then use it on your card
- When die cutting and embossing such as with the Detailed Baubles Thinlits Dies, die cut first, leave the die in and then emboss with the Embossing Mats
Here’s a closer look at the sentiment where I used the Layering Circle Dies and the Detailed baubles Thinlits Dies
Holiday Catalogue Fun Basics
- Cut card to 14.9 cm x 21 cm or 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
- Score and fold at 10.5 cm or 4 1/4″
- Cut Glimmer Paper to 14.4 cm x 10 cm or 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Cut the embossed piece to 13.9 cm x 9.5 cm or 5″ x 3 3/4″
- Emboss the top layer and use a sponge to lightly add Shimmer Paint
- Tie a flat knot in the ribbon and attach to the card using Glue Dots
- Adhere to the Glimmer Paper with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and then place face down with a weight on it so the glue adheres
- Stamp sentiment in Versamark and emboss with copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder
- Die cut out with largest of the scallop circles from the Layering Circles Dies
- Use the die from the Detailed Baubles Thinlits Dies and cut and emboss
- Adhere these last two pieces together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then adhere to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Cut a piece of card 13.5 cm x 9.5 cm or 5″ x 3 3/4″
- Use the holly stamp and mossy Meadow to stamp on the card insert and the envelope
- Adhere the card insert inside the card
