Do you have a loved one who has failing memory? Do you have young children who want to take photos to school? Do you have children who need prompts to tell news or help with story writing? Here’s a simple way to assist with all those instances and record your memories as well.
I have used the Brown Paper Packaging which comes packed in our boxes with our deliveries. If you have a lot, see if the local preschool or school could use it. I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die to make up a number of bags and glued them together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
You can add a story or facts as you go and include little tags for hidden journaling or family information as I have done.
I scored each bag at the end at 1/2″ or 1.2cm and used the Handheld Stapler to keep the bags together.
I placed washi tape on both sides of the bags ends to strengthen the closure which is just 2 holes punched with the 1/4″ Circle Handheld Hole Punch. I Then threaded through Bakers Twine and Ribbon through the holes.
The tags are made from Project Life cards and I used the Angled Tag Topper Punch to create the toppers and threaded ribbon through the holes. They are attached to the cards with staples and I placed washi tape over the staples to prevent skin tears on the occasional sharp edges.
I’ve used various elements from different Accessory Packs. I’m afraid i don’t have all my cards and accessories sorted according to theme. I just pick out what works with the photos I have and if nothing suits (that would be a rarity) I use plain card.
I was even able to use the lettering to create a heading which stands out. Hunter truly believes he planted all these fruit trees by himself and Daddy was just there to help.
The tags just inside the covers of the album, explain who each person is and their relationship to the family.
This was a very quick album to put together and will serve many uses. If you’d like to fins out more about how to record your memories with Project Life, please contact me.
