More Awesomely Artistic with Stitching

Do you sometimes wonder how you can make something look a little different by not doing much? Well I took out my 42-year-old Elna sewing machine (it’s a little portable one) and did some stitching onto card. The secret is to stitch before you add adhesive so you don’t ‘gum up the works’ in your sewing machine. This is what I came up with:

I used Whisper White on Tip Top Taupe and added some of our Burlap ribbon cut down and fringed.

Adding the Burlap Ribbon and the sentiment on Dimensionals gave the card some extra dimension, which I like.

Here’s another card made using the same elements however I did this one portrait style and added some pearls.

One of the stamps in the set is a fern leaf and I have used that stamp to stamp inside both cards and stamp on the outside of the envelopes.
