What do you do when your Grandson is into Super Heros? He is having a Super Heros Cake for his 5th birthday! You help out of course! “Mum, can you make the cake toppers ’cause you’re good at craft?” asks DD. Me “Sure thing!” Where do I start? Super Heros Cake Toppers – we didn’t have those in my day.
Google is my friend for research. I managed to come up with many images. However, most are stock photos or have huge copyright watermarks on them. I did find a few free sites. At the bottom of this post, I have a file you can download to print off your own cake toppers.
Super Heros Cake Toppers
This is the before photo. That is before I stuck them all together. I printed these off on a sheet of A4 Whisper White card on my colour printer. Thanks Stampin’ Up! for awesome cardstock. It goes through my printer and is sturdy enough to make cake toppers.
1: Use your snips to cut them out.
2: Place a toothpick on the back and adhere with Tear & Tape Adhesive
3: Remove the backing from the Tear & Tape
4: Add Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the topper which doesn’t have the toothpick on it
5: Stick the two pieces together. Now you will have a bit of overlap of card on both sides as the words don’t match up. That is for this topper there is a ‘K’ on one side and directly behind it is the ‘w!’ (I hope that’s clear)
6: Trim if needed and they’re ready to insert into the cake. Quick and easy, really. You could cut them out while watching TV or videos etc.
I hope you liked my short tutorial on making Super Hero cake Toppers. You can download them HERE.
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you come back again soon to see what else I have to share.
Remember, your creativeness is only limited by your imagination. Keep smiling and until next we share…
